Word Central - a semaphore exploding mind flow.
Open mic poetry & spoken word hosted by Tony Curry with special guest Geneviève L. Walsh.
May's guest Geneviève L. Walsh is a Yorkshire-raised Londoner who began performing her work in March 2012. She founded Halifax's Spoken Weird after a year on the open mic circuit, a night that came into creation thanks to the death of Margaret Thatcher and a typo. In 2013 she became a core member of nationally acclaimed poetry organisation A Firm of Poets. Her debut solo collection, The Dance of a Thousand Losers, was published earlier this year by Flapjack Press.
Please email mail@flapjackpress.co.uk to reserve your open mic spot (4 minutes).
