BYRON VINCENT

'Byron Vincent plays with language like it lives, he has the ability to stretch words almost to breaking point then snap them back to meaning like nothing ever happened. He tells funny hard poems about things that are true' - Kate Tempest

Byron Vincent has performed on Channel 4's Random Acts, Radio 4's Bespoken Word and BBC 3's The Verb. He has written and presented several documentaries, including 'Hell Is Other People', a self help guide to social anxiety, 'How To Turn Your Life Around' and 'The Glasgow Boys: From Chaos To Calm' for BBC Radio Four.

Byron was co-founder, compere, producer and programmer for Blahblahblah, one of The UK's most highly regarded Spoken Word nights at The Bristol Old Vic. He was poet in residence for the South West of England for Apples and Snakes' ground breaking poetry project My Place or Yours. His first collection Barking Doggerel was released May 2010 by Nasty Little Press.

Byron is a proud ambassador for mental health charity Rethink, an organisation that tackles stigma around issues of mental health.
