Bomber Jackson: On The Out

New solo show by Bob Boyton

Publicity for this event says:

Part of an ongoing series of monologues about the eponymous anti-hero, a sometimes sober, homeless ex con and former boxer. Bomber Jackson struggles to make a just about honest living in Tony Blair's 'society of opportunity'. When a bit of dubious luck comes Bomber's way the end result is a pilgrimage through London's sub standard provision for the single homeless until temporarily at least he reaches a kind of freedom.

Known for the political commitment of his stand up comedy in the 1980's and early 1990's Bob Boyton turned to fiction and the theatre in the mid 1990's. Bob's last production Stories From Mean Street (with Mark Thomas) was critically acclaimed by both The Guardian who gave it four stars and The Independent who said that the tales of contemporary working class life 'resonated with authenticity.'
