The Poetry Garden Party is an afternoon of live poetry and music, wine, food, stalls and creative fun. Please come along - and bring your friends!
This year the Garden Party will be celebrating 5 years of Poets and Players and raising funds to help prevent the events coming to an end. Grant funding has become a real struggle.
Poets and Players has given over 100 newer poets the chance to perform alongside established poets and musicians in an imaginative series of events which regularly gain a 120-strong live audience and have received up to 800 hits online, www.poetsandplayers.co.uk <http://www.poetsandplayers.co.uk> .
Past Garden Parties have received tremendous support from well-known poets and musicians who give free performances, as well as poetry lovers who share their time or come along to enjoy the fun and make the afternoon a success.
The Party is run and staffed entirely by volunteers. Can you spare 30 mins of your time or help in other ways? No experience necessary, just a bit of time to join one of the teams.

Do you know musicians who would like to perform
Many professional-standard musicians have offered to play for free in the past - also new musicians just starting out.
