Visual Poetics | 12-Feb-13 to 05-May-13

This exhibition, curated by David Miller and Chris McCabe, focuses on the ways in which poetry has moved into a visual dimension in work by recent UK and UK-based practitioners. In particular, the emphasis is on the way that individual poets have incorporated their writing in or with visual images, or pushed their writing into something inherently visual, either lucidly, vividly or extravagantly.

Poets and artists featured across a range of prints, films and items from the Poetry Library collection include: John Furnival, Caroline Bergvall, Liliane Lijn, David Miller, John Gibbens, John Hall, Sarah Kelly, Hansjorg Mayer, Alan Halsey, Gavin Selerie, Julie Johnstone, James Harvey, Giles Goodland, Sophie Herxheimer, matt martin, Bob Cobbing, Dom Sylvester Houédard, Thomas A. Clark, Laurie Clark, Ian Hamilton Finlay, Gad Hollander, Victoria Bean, Tony Lopez, Sam Winston, Rick Myers, Karen Bleitz, Wayne Clements, Antonio Claudio Carvalho, Paula Claire, Stephen Emmerson, Simon Cutts and Edwin Morgan.
David Miller's involvement in the curating of this exhibition is part of the Text and Image Project at Nottingham Trent University
