Day of poetry for children at the NPL | 29-Dec-17

On Monday 12th February 2018 the National Poetry Library will be holding a day of poetry for children during half-term as part of the Imagine Festival.

The day starts at 10.30am and takes place at:
The National Poetry Library, Level 5, Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre

Rug Rhymes 10.30-11.00AM 
Our Day of Poetry begins with a special Imagine Rug Rhymes for under 5s.

Sensational Sensory Poetry Workshop 11.30-12.30PM
Use different senses to explore poetry in this special session for blind and partially sighted children. Led by Shelley Boden.

Awesomely Amazing Poems 1.30-2.30PM
A poetry reading for ages 5-7 featuring Carole Bromley, Alexander D Great and George Szirtes.

Exhilarating Entertaining Poems 3.00-4.00PM
A poetry reading for ages 8-11 featuring Ieva Flamingo and her translator Richard O’Brien, Amina Jama and Dean Parkin.
