"Sometimes in poetry it's necessary to be a dumbass"

This collection seems to have been written by some completely daft, wildly enthusiastic, unboundaried teenager whose read too much Alt Lit. It annoyed me, made me laugh out loud, and even broke my heart a little.

I was thoroughly charmed by its honesty, energy and enthusiasm, and not a little dazzled by its reckless, breakneck pace and structure.

By the time I tumbled out of this topsy turvy world, I knew I'd been on a journey my head wouldn't, and my heart couldn't, forget.

Assistant Librarian
