Poems found in a Pioneer Museum | 11-Jun-10

In her 2007 collection, Souls of the Labadie Tract, Susan Howe explored the meanings and poetries of an American past through the history of (among other things) a wedding dress fragment. In Poems found in a pioneer museum, she wanders through Salt Lake City's Pioneer Memorial Museum finding poetry in the identification cards for the exhibits. This handsome boxed set is from Coracle Press in Ireland.
