Part time
£9970.50 (£9.58 an hour) per annum

Southbank Centre is the UK's largest arts centre, occupying a 21-acre site that sits at the heart of London's most vibrant cultural quarter on the South Bank of the Thames. The site has an extraordinary creative and architectural history stretching back to the 1951 Festival of Britain. Southbank Centre is home to the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Purcell Room and the Hayward Gallery as well as The Saison Poetry Library and the Arts Council Collection. 

The Saison Poetry Library houses the largest collection of poetry in the UK; as well as books, pamphlets and magazines, we collect poetry on audio, posters, postcards, press cuttings and images of poets.
Working closely with the Librarians in our Poetry Library, you will help ensure the smooth-running and maintenance of the collection and provide a welcoming and efficient service to our customers. We are looking for someone who also has an interest in/knowledge of poetry or literature.
With excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, you will have a proven track record of being well-organised, accurate and attentive to detail with experience of using MS Office and the internet. 
The Library is open until 8pm from Tuesday to Sunday, therefore there will be a requirement for the successful candidate to work some evenings and weekends.
Please note Southbank Centre will require the post holder to undergo an enhanced CRB disclosure.
