Dylan Thomas celebration in the Poetry Library | 22-Oct-14

This Sunday night (26th October) sees the Gala at Queen Elizabeth Hall bring a week of the Dylan Thomas in Fitzrovia festival to a glorious conclusion. But not before one last Dylan treat.

The Dylan Thomas in Fitzrovia festival will be joining us in the library for a special celebration of the poet, before the Gala brings in his centenary.

Come along to the Saison Poetry Library from 6.30pm to have your photo taken with only bust made of the poet while he was alive, offer up your own lines of poetry for the great man's stolid perusal, and view the library's extensive collection of Dylan Thomas items, including press cuttings and a first edition copy of Twenty-five Poems from 1936 and listen to John Cale's moving Words for the Dying, recorded during the Falklands War and inspired by Dylan's late poems.

Join us for an essential act of pilgrimage for all Dylan fans, and a fitting amuse bouche before the feast of the Gala.
