The National Poetry Library at Ledbury Poetry Festival | 26-Apr-17

With over 250 artists taking part in 135 events across 10 days, Ledbury Poetry Festival 2017 offers new and dedicated poetry fans the chance to fully immerse themselves in a diverse world of poetry.

Paddy Ashdown, Richard Dawkins, Simon Armitage, Bejan Matur, Sean Hughes, Ana Blandiana and Andrew O’Hagan are among the new artists announced for this year's festival (30 June - 9  July).

On Wedneday 5 July, our own Poetry Library Chris McCabe will be in conversation with poet Inua Ellams about #Afterhours, the project and newly published book that saw Ellams rewriting poems from our collection for each year of his youth. (£9)

The following day, Thursday 4 July, join us for a Shared Reading of the poems and letters of Elizabeth Barrett Browning. By reading aloud together, we will explore Barrett Browning as a poet, translator, lover and human rights campaigner. No preparation necessary, just bring your voice and ears. (£5)
