The Poetry Library comes to Spread the Word | 10-Oct-06

Spread the Word is hosting a collection of the Poetry Library's books as part of their new 'Refuge' for London's writers.

The organisation, who serve London's writers, say that
"Spread the Word is excited to offer a new 'refuge' or quiet space for London?s writers. Every Thursday afternoon in October, from 2pm - 4.30pm, our Writing Room will be open for writers looking for a quiet space to read, write, or just munch the muse.

Spread the Word opened its Writing Room doors for the very first time on National Poetry Day, Thursday 5th October.
And for the forthcoming months, while the Poetry Library is being refurbished, our bookshelves will be stocked with a selection of new books from the Poetry Library's own collection.

If you'd like to take advantage of the Writing Room, just give us a call on 020 7735 3111 to let us know you're coming.

Writers' Refuges Across London: - In our next season from January 2007 we'll be featuring other writer-friendly places across London. You'll be able to find out details on our website, and please contact us if you?ve got any recommendations for calm venues where you go to write."

You will also be able to read books from the Poetry Library's collection at the Poetry Lounge in the Queen Elizabeth Hall in the weeks leading up to, and during the Poetry International festival.
