Free workshops for Science and English teachers | 28-Apr-10

Here at Southbank Centre, we are celebrating 350 years of the Royal Society in a Festival of Science and Arts.

We are looking for teachers of English and Science to come together in twilight sessions at the Poetry Library to work with writer and scientist Mario Petrucci to explore the connections between science and poetry, and build activities to inspire learning for their own students. It?s a great opportunity to develop creativity across the two areas, and have your work showcased in a high profile event at the Royal Festival Hall.

We would like to invite you to take part in the sessions, which will take place in the Poetry Library, Southbank Centre, and will be held on the following days at the Royal Festival Hall:

10 May at 5pm

20 May at 5pm

7 June at 5pm

14 June at 5pm

21 June at 5pm

Ideally you will attend all sessions, but if you can only make some, you are also very welcome.

Places are limited, and the project is free of charge, so please contact me as soon as possible if you wish to take part. Please state whether you are an English or Science teacher, and which sessions you will be able to attend.
