Request for poems for Women's Anthology | 13-May-05

Second Light, a network of 350 women poets, has been funded by the Arts Council to bring out in 2006 'Images of Women', a 220+pp anthology of poems by women about women. Women poets are invited to send, for possible inclusion in the Anthology, any poems by them which offer fresh and illuminating insights into aspects of womanhood. These could be about, for example, historical, legendary or living women, women's experience of work, war, creativity, relationships, their bodies, youth, child-bearing, illness, aging, the treatment of women, their roles, status. Poems can be serious or amusing and in any form, including prose-poems. For details of how to submit (June-September this year) send for leaflet to Dilys Wood, 9, Greendale Close, London SE22 8TG, or e-mail dilyswood@tiscali.co.uk
