Looking for a central London venue for your poetry event? | 17-Jan-17

The Flying Horse on Oxford Street is now offering its cellar bar as a venue for poetry evenings. The pub is situated directly opposite Tottenham Court Road tube station and can accommodate up to 40 people for events.  They would be happy to facilitate one off events or regular bookings.

There will be no charge and the room can be open to the public or private. They also understand that an event organiser may want to charge an entrance fee for such nights. They can supply a small P.A. should it be required. They offer a wide range of traditional ales, craft/ Belgian beers, wines and spirits.

Paul McCallion, General Manager, told us he has always been interested in poetry but was recently "jolted out of my usual glassy-eyed and hypnotised state whilst watching television by some new, young, and to me, unknown poets performing their works in adverts... Short, simple but electrifying and somehow connecting with my life... poetry is like a secret path to a better, happier, more relaxed state of mind."
