Poetry Archive launched | 30-Nov-05

The Poetry Archive, a collection of recordings of poets reading their work, has been launched. The archive is available online. This free service, set up by Poet Laureate, Andrew Motion, includes recordings of English-language poets from Tennyson to poets writing today. The Poetry Archive can be accessed from our links pages here.

The Poetry Library also has an extensive collection of audio-visual material, which will be available again after our move back into the refurbished Royal Festival Hall. In the mean time, poetry lovers with sight problems can apply to receive cassettes and compact discs of poets reading their work by filling in the form here, or phoning us on 020 7921 0664.

Happy listening!
