The Book of Ten by Zebra Publishing: call for submissions

Ten by Ten is a regular monthly night for poets, spoken-word artists, performance poets and writers at which ten people each get ten minutes to showcase their work in front of a warm and appreciative audience at the Cumberland Arms in Newcastle. Ten by Ten has been running for three years and in that time the stage at the Cumberland has seen an amazing breadth of work from established and new writers. To celebrate the success of Ten by Ten, Zebra Publishing is commissioning a book of poetry which will be published in November 2009. They are inviting submissions for the book on the theme of '10'. You can interpret it in any way you like: it could be a ten-line poem, your tenth Christmas, your ten children or whatever you fancy. Anyone can submit up to three poems, but they must be previously unpublished and no longer than 30 lines. This is not a competition, there are no prizes and there is no entry fee. Please email submissions as an attachment in Word or RTF format to jeff@zebrapublishing.co.uk by 1 September 2009.
