Respect Poetry Slam 2005 | 13-Mar-05

The Mayor of London and the Poetry Society have announced their annual London wide Poetry Slam. If you are 12-18 years old, you could be impressing the likes of Ms Dynamite with your performance!

The Slam is part of Ken Livingstone's Annual Anti-Racism Festival. Young people taking part will work with performance poets before appearing on stage at a major London theatre.

Past participants have appeared on the BBC, been chosen to record radio adverts, performed with Apples and Snakes and Express Excess, and appeared in the Guardian weekend magazine.

To find out more about the Respect Poetry Slam, see the Poetry Society's website here.

Contact details are on our competitions page here.
