Philip Gross wins Wales Book of the Year 2010 | 02-Jul-10

Philip Gross, who won the TS Eliot Prize earlier this year for his collection The Water Table (Bloodaxe), has won the £10,000 Wales Book of the Year 2010 prize for his book I Spy Pinhole Eye (Cinnamon Press).

The announcement was made on 30th June. The judges were Ian Gregson, James Hawes and Sara Edwards.

The Welsh-language award, also a £10,000 prize, was won by John Davies for his book Cymru: Y 100 lle i'w gweld cyn marw (Y Lolfa).
