Pussycat Mouser sits and thinks while the lavender leaves turn grey | 29-Mar-16

Pussycat Mouser sits and thinks while the lavender leaves turn grey.
Nobody knows what she thinks about with her green eyes shut and her tail spread out,
nobody knows what she thinks about while the lavender leaves turn grey.

From the book An ABC for Wee Folk by Frances Cowan

Enquirer was born in 1934 and wonders if someone of a similar age recognises this poem.

Comments:

I have submiited the full words, but the top bit of my submission disappeared when I was writing the end Did you get the author;s name (Frances Cowan) and the book it was in (An ABC For Wee Folk). And it sill says no one has responded, but I have. Is there a character limit?

When We Were Very Wee

Pussy Cat Mouser sits and thinks
Where the lavender leaves turn gray.
Nobody knows what he thinks about
His green eyes shut and his tail stretched out
In the lavender leaves turned gray.

Peter the Puppy is chasng his tail
Round and round on the nursery floor.
Nobody cares what he thinks about.
For really and truly there isn't a doubt
He's thinking pf npthing but tail and snout
Round and round on the nursery floor,

William John is making a kite
To sail when the wind turns West
Everyone knows what he's thinking about.
Everyone knows that, there isn't a doubt
"Who's coming with me to take my kite out?"
Asked William John of the rest.
