It could be a Yeats poem that begins as follows:
Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer.
Things fall apart, the centre cannot hold.
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world
or
there is a poem (which I will find and submit asap) that uses the analogy of falcon and falconer and includes the words:
Unleash me from your hand, that I might ... back to you
