My father used to sing this as a song but I remember it as 'It gives me great delight to see that the lighthouse light shines bright'. It continues 'every night when the light shines bright, it's me that makes the lighthouse light shine bright'. We always shouted him down after that. I imagined it was an early 1900s music hall song.
