Pockets - Penknife, pencil, seven bits of string | 21-Jul-08

Penknife, pencil, seven bits of string,
Nails and a marble, a photo of the King,
Regimental buttons,
An unused foreign stamp,
Two little screw-ends from a motor lamp,
A cork, and a farthing, a penny with a hole,
Paperclips and crayons and a tiny bit of coal...

Does anyone know the rest of this poem or who the author is?

Comments:

I have heard this poem before- I am on a hunt for where and when- I think my Nan used to tell it to me... have you checked AA Milne? I shall do some more researching and see what I can find...

I guess I learnt it pre-school say 1944. It was in a book of children's poems.
Last 2 lines:
Pockets in my jersey, my trousers and my coat,
Could I be any richer in a castle with a moat?
I am not sure if this is now complete or there are more lines first.
Michael Fradin

A correspondent from Paisley has informed us that this has a tune, and that she sang it as a child in the 1940s.
