This sounds uncannily like Joseph Campbell's* poem THE GILLY OF CHRIST which opens:
I am the gilly of Christ
The mate of Mary's son...
I wonder if it could be a parody... I don't know if this helps.
*an Irish poet dates from the nineteenth to twentieth century, not the mythologist.
