Comments:

I have a handwritten copy of this poem: Talk of contented children! My Harry will stand with the best
As a baby he'd lie in his cradle
As snug as a bird in the nest
And talk to himself by the hour, and coo like a pigeon, he would
And play with his little fat fingers, as, sweet as a pink and as good
there are 17 verses in all
karen thomson

My mum remembers her mother reciting the whole poem which she presumably learned at school. Do you know if it's published anywhere? I'd love to give her a copy to read as she can only remember the first few verses.
