'Lowesley Hall' by Bromley Davenport | 24-Feb-05

The only other information I have is that the period we are looking at is 1850. Also that the Bromley Davenport family lived at Capesthorpe Hall, in Cheshire. He did write a book entitled "Sport in Prose and Verse" with an introduction by Lord Newton and the title page illustrated by Rex Whistler.

I am trying to find if in fact this book carried this poem, but no luck as yet.

Comments:

I found it in a book called The Fox hunter's Bedside book by Lady Apsley - I will try and type it up and put it up on www.anenglishmanscastle.com
